Movie News & Rumours:

November 14th 1998: Check out Craig Guiboche's positive review of "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" right here. Craig also confirmed that most of the info in the previous two scoops is in fact false.

October 14th 1998: Below is a synopsis of the opening scene in the movie (we think), sweep over the area below if you wish to read the spoilers. Thanks to the slightly Jennifer Love Hewitt-obsessed 'Ben' for the scoop: [Note: Bogus scoop]

I know how the movie starts. It starts with a shot of a steamy shower door that has 'I Still Know' written in the steam. Then the killer bursts out at Julie and he chases her (She is only wearing a towel). She cuts her palms on the broken glass trying to get away. He lunges at her and misses. She tries opening the door, but can't get it open. The killer sees her trying to get away so he pulls of his attached hook and slides it along the ground at her, slicing her right ankle open, just as she gets the door open. She runs through the dark and gets to the indoor basketball courts, still only wearing the towel. We see the killer up in the pressbox. Julie is standing in the middle of the court screaming. The killer presses a button that reads 'Swim-gym' and the floor opens up underneath Julie to reveal a pool. She falls into the pool, and we can hear the killers laughter amplified over the P.A. system. The towel comes off Julie, but you can't see anything. The killer closes the roof of the pool over trying to trap Julie, but she gets out just in time. (Still you can't see her naked). The killer then walks down the basketball court towards her. She runs over to a framed jersey and breaks the glass and puts on the oversized jersey. She then runs down a corridor with lots of doors (none of which will open). She turns back, but the fisherman is no longer there. Then a door flies open on her right. The killer says, 'I Still Know What You Did Last Summer'. Just as he is about to kill Julie, we hear a female voice count back from three, clap and then say awake!. We see Julie lay up off a couch. Then we see that she is retelling a nightmare she is having to her therapist named Carole.

October 1st 1998: This chances of this scoop actually being true are slim, though just in case it is, I'll post it. It is MAJOR spoiler info about the killer/ending of the film, so just sweep over the area below IF you want to read it. Thanks to 'Shawnae.' [Note: Bogus scoop]

I know for a fact, that Julia Louis Dreyfuss (From TV's Seinfeld) will be in I Still Know. She will play a female second killer (that's the big twist everyones talking about). Her motives for being a killer are unknown at the moment. Her name is not on the cast list and she is not in any trailers, as the writer wants to keep it a big secret.

May 26th 1998: A new trailer is currently running in front of "Godzilla", and Craig has sent in a nice description of this trailer. You can read it right here.

April 13th 1998: Variety reports that Laura Esposito, a series regular on the Alphabet web's DreamWorks sitcom "Spin City," has joined the ensemble cast of Mandalay's horror sequel to "I Know What You Did Last Summer." Esposito will star opposite Jennifer Love Hewitt, who reprises her role from the first pic.

April 1st 1998: Mekhi Phifer ("Soul Food") is joining Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr. and Brandy Norwood in the cast for the sequel to the 1997 hit movie "I Know What You Did Last Summer." He will play Norwood's boyfriend in the picture, which is tentatively titled "I Still Know."

February 9th 1998: Danny Cannon ("Judge Dredd") has been set to direct the sequel to the sleeper horror hit "I Know What You Did Last Summer," which is being scripted by Trey Callaway. The film rejoins Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. with the hook-handed fisherman who tormented them in the original. The film is expected to be released at Thanksgiving. The original grossed $75 million in the United States and is poised to crack $100 million worldwide.

February 4th 1998: Various places reports that screenwriter Trey Callaway has been called in to fill Kevin Williamson's shoes, and that Hewitt and Prinze's characters are returning for the sequel.

January 21st 1998: Rumour has it the follow-up will be entitled 'I Still Know What You Did Last Summer'. Further gossip states that the production starts up in March or May, that Jennifer Love Hewitt is for sure in it, and that Freddy Prinze Jr. may also come back. [ Thanks to 'Coming Attractions' ]

January 7th 1998: Kevin Williamson ("Scream," "IKWYDLS"), says he has turned down an offer to write a sequel to Summer and has questioned whether other teen screamers currently in the works have a chance of succeeding. Williamson told the New York Post on Sunday, "Scream was in some ways the rebirth and the death of the slasher film. It exposes all the rules and conventions of the genre, so you can't do it straight anymore. but if you follow the Scream route, it'll look like a blatant rip-off."
