All over the planet, unusual children are born with an added twist to their genetic code. Singer, "20th Century Fox has committed to doing a second
'X-Men' DVD, in which I would use a slightly longer version,
including two new scenes which I'd like to shoot, a commentary

20 minutes of footage cut from the film, not the reported 45.

and his views on commentary tracks (I for one really liked
the "Usual Suspects" one). July 16th 2000: "X-Men" grossed
an estimated $57.5 million at the Box Office this weekend.
Also, over at Mr.
Showbiz, Fox's Tom Sherak talked about (and confirmed)
the sequel. "[X-Men's opening]
bodes well for a sequel," says Sherak, who's happy to
report that yes, there will be a sequel. While Bryan Singer
doesn't have a deal in place yet, cast members
(including Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman) have signed
for the inevitable follow-ups. July 15th 2000: According

Showbiz reported that Fox has cancelled its press
junket for "X-Men." Shortly after,
Coming Soon! heard
from a source that there's already been a test screening
somewhere in the US, and reportedly the audience hated
the film. That was apparently the reason for the cancellation
