Lucy Liu

The Company Man: Lucy Liu is set to star opposite Jeremy Northam in the suspense thriller "The Company Man" for director Vincenzo Natali. Written by Brian King, "Company" centers on an unsuspecting, disenchanted man (Northam) who finds himself working as a corporate spy in a world of deadly espionage. He quickly discovers that he is a pawn in a much bigger game, and his only chance of survival is a mysterious woman (Liu). According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project, budgeted at less than $10 million, is slated to begin shooting during the first week of May.

I'm With Lucy: Julie Christie and Harold Ramis have joined the cast of the romantic comedy "I'm With Lucy" for French studio Gaumont Films. Down & Under: Christopher Walken and Dyan Cannon have joined Jerry O'Connell, Anthony Anderson and Estella Warren in the Jerry Bruckheimer comedy "Down & Under." Variety reports that the picture, lensing in Sydney, follows the misadventures of two friends from Brooklyn, who are forced to deliver mob money to Australia. David McNally ("Coyote Ugly") is directing.

The Good German / Superman: Paul Attanasio ("Sphere") is in negotiations to receive about $3.4 million upfront to write for Warner Bros. an adaptation of author Joseph Kanon's upcoming novel "The Good German" for producers Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney and a new "Superman" script for producer Jon Peters. It is not clear which script he will tackle first. "German," follows an American reporter on assignment to cover the final Allied summit meeting of World War II. But the reporter is using the assignment as an excuse to get into Germany to search for a lost love. While there, things take a turn when a body washes ashore, and the reporter gets entangled in a murder mystery that involves political forces dividing Berlin. Attanasio will sift through the three or four "Superman" scripts previously written during its five-year development at the studio, but he will focus on his own, original take on material based on the death and rebirth of the Man of Steel.
