The Lord of the Rings: The official site has added the first "LOTR" teaser poster, which will appear in theaters nationwide this weekend. One Night at McCool's: Poster for the black comedy "One Night at McCool's," opening later this month. It stars Liv Tyler, Matt Dillon, John Goodman, Paul Reiser, Andrew Dice Clay, Leo Rossi and Michael Douglas. Thanks to the IMDb. I Spy: Owen Wilson has inked a deal to star alongside Eddie Murphy in the Columbia Pictures comedy "I Spy" for director Betty Thomas. According to THR, shooting is not slated to start during the first quarter of this year. "I Spy" is loosely based on the NBC TV series that aired from 1965-68 and starred Bill Cosby and Robert Culp. The film version, written by Marianne and Cormac Wibberly, centers on a top-secret government agent (Wilson) assigned to recover a missing jet with the help of a professional athlete (Murphy) who is pressed into service.
Austin Powers 3: The third installment in New Line's "Austin Powers" franchise is moving ahead. Mike Myers is on board to return, as is co-scribe Michael McCullers ("Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me"). THR sources said the duo will co-write the script, for which an idea has been developed. The story line is being kept close to the "granny" vest, but it is known that (not unlike the second installment) the plot will include time travel. The studio hopes to entice helmer Jay Roach to return for the third round, but as yet no deal has been made. No start date has been set, but sources said a fourth-quarter start is targeted so that the film would be ready for a 2002 release.

Hunted - Script Review (Mixed) The Matrix 2 & 3: Monica Bellucci ("Malena") is in negotiations to star opposite Keanu Reeves in the back-to-back sequels to "The Matrix" for writer-directors Andy and Larry Wachowski. According to Variety, the pictures are slated to begin production next month in Oakland, Calif. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde: Wes Craven will direct an update of the classic horror tale "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" for Dimension Films. The project, which might ultimately have a different title, has no budget or start date yet. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Craig Rosenberg ("Jurassic Park 3") will pen the script, based on his original pitch, which will adapt the legendary story of "Jekyll and Hyde" and add new twists to turn the property into a thriller.
Rule #3: Harold Ramis ("Analyze This") has signed on to direct Fox 2000's action comedy "Rule #3." The project is not expected to start shooting until after the Writers and Screen Actors guilds contracts are settled. Written by Robert Kuhn, "Rule" is about an arrogant billionaire firearms tycoon who bullies a man he assumes is just an average Joe. But the man turns out to be an ingenious hit man who decides to teach the tycoon a lesson. THR sources said the studio is eyeing Sean Connery to star. Enough: Juliette Lewis will star opposite Jennifer Lopez in Columbia Pictures' thriller "Enough" for director Michael Apted. The project is slated for a March 12 start. Written by Nicholas Kazan, "Enough" is described as "Sleeping With the Enemy" meets "Double Jeopardy." The story revolves around a woman (Lopez) who marries the man of her dreams (Billy Campbell) but learns that he is abusive. After a failed attempt to leave him, she takes her daughter and goes on the run. Ultimately, she is forced to take matters into her own hands to save her life and that of her child. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lewis plays Lopez's best friend and confidant.
Posters: One for the Martin Lawrence/Danny DeVito comedy "What's the Worst That Could Happen?," one for "Get Over It," a romcom starring Kirsten Dunst, Ben Foster and Sisqo. Spider: Ralph Fiennes will star for director David Cronenberg in the $10 million psychological thriller "Spider," scheduled to shoot in June and July in England and Toronto for MM Media Capital Partners. According to THR, Patrick McGrath wrote the script for "Spider," adapting from his 1991 novel of the same name. The story centers on a man's (Fiennes) descent into madness as he searches for the truth about his mysterious past and the death of his mother. The Bourne Identity: A review of Tony Gilroys "Identity" screenplay, dated May 18th, 2000. This upcoming suspense/thriller is directed by Doug Liman ("Go"), and stars Matt Damon, Franka Potente and Julia Stiles. Some spoilers. Thanks to Chris. The Bourne Identity - Script Review (Mixed) Insomnia: Hilary Swank ("Boys Don't Cry") has committed to star opposite Al Pacino in Alcon Entertainment's psychological thriller "Insomnia" for British helmer Christopher Nolan. Adapted by Hillary Seitz ("Early Bird Special"), the script for "Insomnia" follows a police officer (Pacino) who [SPOILER] accidentally kills his partner during a murder investigation in a small Alaska town. The subject of the murder investigation then blackmails the officer to pin the murders on an innocent person, [/SPOILER] but a local female officer (Swank) tries to discover the truth. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project is scheduled to begin shooting April 12th in Vancouver.
