Hannibal

Hannibal: A new poster for Ridley Scott's "Hannibal." View the near-identical teaser poster right here. The upcoming film stars Anthony Hopkins, Julianne Moore, Giancarlo Giannini and Gary Oldman. Thanks to Pix Poster Cellar.

A.I. / Minority Report: Tom Cruise, who is currently shooting "Vanilla Sky" for director Cameron Crowe in Los Angeles, will take two weeks off after wrapping production in early March. He will then seque to his next project, "Minority Report," to be helmed by Steven Spielberg. Variety reports that the director is editing "A.I." on an 'impossible schedule' so that he can put "Minority Report" into pre-production on time..

Big Trouble - Script Review (Positive)

Narc: Ray Liotta and Jason Patric have signed to star in the gritty thriller "Narc" for Cutting Edge Entertainment and writer-director Joe Carnahan ("Blood, Guts, Bullets & Octane"). According to The Hollywood Reporter, the low-budget feature, which Liotta will also executive produce, is slated to go before the cameras Monday in Toronto. The story centers on narcotics officer Nick Tellis (Patric), who is assigned to investigate the killing of a young rookie cop and teams with the cop's former partner, Lt. Henry Oak (Liotta). As Tellis gets closer to learning the truth, he discovers that he has been set up. The project does not yet have a domestic distributor. Cutting Edge will handle foreign sales.

Blow

Blow: A new poster for the drama "Blow," starring Johnny Depp, Penélope Cruz, Franka Potente, Paul Reubens and Ethan Suplee. Ted Demme ("Beautiful Girls") directs. View the 'advance A' poster here. Thanks to eBay.

Blade 2: According to Variety, Tcheky Karyo ("Joan of Arc") has landed the villain role in "Blade 2,'' for director Guillermo del Toro. Wesley Snipes and Kris Kristofferson also star.

The Scorpion King: Michael Clarke Duncan ("The Green Mile") is poised to join Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in "The Scorpion King," a Chuck Russell-directed prequel to "The Mummy Returns." Variety reports that the project was scripted by Jonathan Hales and Stephen Sommers, and will be put into production this March. In the film, the Rock plays an assassin who becomes the reluctant leader of a ragtag army that battles an evil warlord.

All About the Benjamins: Ice Cube and Mike Epps ("Next Friday") will star in the buddy action-comedy "All About the Benjamins" for Absolute Entertainment. The $18 million project, slated to start shooting on March 19, will mark the feature directorial debut of music video director Kevin Bray. According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Benjamins" does not yet have a domestic distributor. The story, set in Miami, follows a bounty hunter (Cube) chasing down a man who skipped bail (Epps) to an abandoned warehouse that, unbeknownst to them, is a drop-off point in a diamond heist. As the two find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time, the duo teams up to catch the diamond crooks while sorting out their own differences.

Town and Country

Script Reviews: CHUD takes a look at the script for Frank Darabont's next project, "The Bijou" as well as the April 20th, 1999 draft of "Blade 2" by David Goyer. Minor spoilers. Thanks to Nick.

Blade 2: Bloodhunt - Script Review (Positive)

Demon: Dimension Films has optioned the script to a 1964 "Outer Limits" episode "Demon With a Glass Hand" from author Harlan Ellison, who will adapt the screenplay. David Twohy ("Pitch Black") is set to direct. Variety reports that "Demon" is a sci-fi thriller about a man from the future transported by unknown means to our time, his memory wiped clean of who he is, where he came from and what powerful secret he possesses. The man is being stalked mercilessly by members of an alien race from that same future time. The man appears unimportant, but in truth there can be no world without him.
