Project 3: Aaron Eckhart is in negotiations to reunite with "Erin Brockovich" star Julia Roberts for Revolution Studios' psychological thriller "Project 3." Shooting is scheduled to start April 1 with Gore Verbinski at the helm. According to THR, the story line is being closely guarded, but it is known that the film is set in New York and is described as in the vein of George Cukor's 1944 classic "Gaslight." While "Brockovich" saw Roberts and Eckhart portray a couple, they are not paired as lovers in this go-around. However, Eckhart's role is the male lead.

Constantine: Director Tarsem ("The Cell") is on board to helm for Warner Bros. the supernatural thriller "Constantine," based on the DC-Vertigo comic book "Hellblazer." The project, being produced by the Donners Co., will not go before the cameras during the first quarter this year, and no firm start date has been set. According to THR, "Constantine" is described as "Dirty Harry" set in the occult world. It follows a man, John Constantine, who dabbles in the occult and teams with a female police officer to fight evil forces. Kevin Brodbin ("The Glimmer Man") wrote the original script, with a rewrite by Mark Bomback ("The Night Caller") and Frank Cappello ("No Way Back"), the latter of whom wrote the most recent draft.

Larceny for Lovers: George Armitage ("Grosse Pointe Blank") is near a deal to direct Pierce Brosnan in the romcom "Larceny for Lovers." The Mandalay Entertainment project is about male and female con artists who engage in a round of one-upmanship in the spirit of "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels." Life, or Something Like It: Joel Schumacher ("Tigerland") will direct the romantic comedy "Life, or Something Like It" for New Regency Pictures. Shooting is scheduled to start in early April. Down and Under: Estella Warren has been signed to play the female lead in Castle Rock Entertainment's action-comedy "Down and Under" for director David McNally ("Coyote Ugly") and producer Jerry Bruckheimer. They are forced to deliver $100,000 to Australia, but things go haywire when the money is lost to a wild kangaroo that then becomes their target.
