The Punisher: Artisan Pictures and Marvel Studios have tapped "Dreamcatcher" star Thomas Jane as the lead in the big-screen version of the Marvel comic book "The Punisher." According to THR, The project is being produced by Avi Arad and Gale Anne Hurd ("The Hulk"). Jonathan Hensleigh is the writer-director on the picture, which goes in front of the cameras in early July for a summer 2004 release. A Home at...: Sissy Spacek will star in director Michael Mayer's "A Home at the End of the World," the big-screen adaptation of the novel by "The Hours" author Michael Cunningham. Spacek joins Colin Farrell, Robin Wright Penn and newcomer Dallas Roberts in the story of boyhood friends Bobby and Jonathan, who become enmeshed in an emotional love triangle with a woman they move in with in New York. Spacek will play Jonathan's mother, Alice, who provides the HIV-positive Bobby (Farrell) a safe haven even as her own marriage is failing. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film begins shooting next week in Toronto, with locations also planned in New York and Phoenix. "Home" was adapted by Keith Bunin and Michael Cunningham.
