Movie Posters - Guess what? The Official "Godzilla" poster is out, I edited the poster image myself, so please give me credit if you use it on your websites. It certainly is a very cool poster, huh? Next to it is the poster for "Tarzan And The Lost City" and a poster for "The Newton Boys." Finally, I'm not sure if it's fake or not, but here's a poster for The Mask Of Zorro. Enjoy :-)
The Wild Wild West - Variety reports that Salma Hayek has landed the female lead in Warner Bros. The Wild Wild West opposite Will Smith, Kevin Kline and Kenneth Branagh. She plays Rita Escobar, a woman caught in a love triangle between government agents James West (Smith) and Artemus Gordon (Kline). Shooting is skedded to start April 22. Barry Sonnenfeld helms the feature based loosely on the off-beat Western TV series, which ran on CBS from 1965-1970. Jon Peters and Barry Josephson produce.

Eyes Wide Shut - Dark Horizons reports that Stanley Kubrick was so unhappy with Jennifer Jason Leigh's performance, that he's called her back to re-shoot all her scenes. This probably means the film will be delayed till '99....

Double Jeopardy - Variety reports that Ashley Judd is in serious talks to star opposite Tommy Lee Jones in Paramount Pictures' action thriller "Double Jeopardy." Judd would play a women who served 10 years for killing her husband after he faked his own death and framed her in an insurance scam. Having done the time, she sets out to do the crime.

Carrie II - Newcomer Dylan Bruno, coming off a small part in Steven Spielberg's "Saving Private Ryan," has landed a major role in "Carrie II," a sequel to the classic 1976 psychokinetic thriller based on a Stephen King novel. Bruno joins previously attached cast members Jason London, Amy Irving and Emily Bergl. The new picture is set in a town neighboring the rural burg of the original film, which starred Sissy Spacek. As in the first story, high school jocks play a cruel joke on a female student (Bergl) who is something of an outsider, triggering her destructive, supernatural powers. London plays the young woman's boyfriend, and Irving plays a guidance counselor who remembers the original mayhem and suspects that it may be recurring. Bruno plays the football team captain, an unfeeling prankster.
The Lost Son - Jamie Harris ("In the Name of the Father") has inked to star in "The Lost Son," a drama from Scala Prods. Harris plays a heroin-addicted villain opposite Nastassja Kinski and Bruce Greenwood in the film, which revolves around the kidnapping of young children for prostitution.

Movie Posters - Lots of new, cool posters today, including one for the upcoming Spike Lee flick "He Got Game", a Japanese Godzilla poster, a cool poster for "Deep Impact", a nice poster for "The Big Hit" and a new "Vampires" poster. Susan's Plan - Variety reports that Lara Flynn Boyle has joined the cast of the indie feature "Susan's Plan," for writer/director John Landis. Pic, which toplines Dan Aykroyd and Nastassja Kinski, is a black comedy about a woman who wants to kill her husband so that she can collect on the life insurance.
Sprockets - After watching the Mike Myers screen creations "Wayne's World" and "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery" turn into bigscreen hits, Imagine Ent. has made a deal for "Sprockets," a film that Myers will cowrite and star in. Myers will be paid $10 million against 10% of the box office gross to star, said sources, and will share an undisclosed writing fee with a co-scribe to be named.

Evermere - Showing that they really are back in business, Andy Vajna and Mario Kassar, the maverick co-founders of the defunct Carolco film studio, early Sunday morning struck a pre-emptive $1.5 million deal for the spec script "Evermere" by David Goyer and James Robinson. The first of an intended trilogy of fantasy epics, "Evermere" deals with a 17-year-old orphan who discovers that in an alternate universe he is heir to a throne.
