Pecker The Impostors Your Friends And Neighbors

Movie Posters: Three indie posters today. First one for the John Waters film "Pecker," a poster for the Stanley Tucci/Oliver Platt starrer "The Impostors" and finally a poster for "Your Friends & Neighbors" starring Ben Stiller and Jason Patric.

The Straight Story: Variety reports that David Lynch ("Lost Highway") is set to begin production on "The Straight Story." The indie film chronicles the six-week, 350-mile trip made by a 73-year-old man on his riding mower in order to mend his relationship with his older brother, who is ill.

Movie Trailer: Finally, the second "Vampires" trailer is now available in Quicktime format. A teaser/clip for the upcoming Renee Zellweger/Meryl Streep movie "One True Thing" and finally a Real Video trailer for "Your Friends & Neighbors."

The Nutty Professor 2: Peter Segal ("Tommy Boy") is in talks to helm the sequel to the popular 1996 Eddie Murphy comedy.

Bringing Out the Dead: Tom Sizemore and John Goodman are in advanced talks to join Nicolas Cage and Ving Rhames in "Bringing Out the Dead'' for director Martin Scorsese. The Paramount/Disney drama focuses on a burned-out Hell's Kitchen paramedic (Cage) who has visions of the people who have died in his care. Sizemore will play Walls, Cage's old partner, while Rhames plays Marcus, Cage's new partner. Goodman plays another paramedic, working the graveyard shift.

Desert Saints: Will Patton is set to star in the thriller "Desert Saints,'' where he will play an erudite assassin who terrorizes the American Southwest. Richard Greenberg will make his directing debut on the independent project, working from his own script.

Mystery Men: Claire Forlani ("The Rock") has joined a large ensemble cast in "Mystery Men,'' a picture about an unlikely group of superheroes. She plays Monica, a diner waitress who falls in love with Mr. Furious, one of the superheroes who has not yet been cast. Hank Azaria, William H. Macy, Janeane Garofalo, Paul Reubens, Geoffrey Rush and Lena Olin also star.

Anna And The King: Andy Tennant ("Ever After") has signed on to helm "Anna And The King.'' Chow Yun Fat ("The Replacement Killers'') is attached to star in the Fox project about the relationship between the King of Siam and British governess Anna Leonowens in 19th century Thailand.

Baby's In Black: Brad Silberling ("City of Angels'') will direct "Baby's In Black'' for DreamWorks and producer Mark Johnson. The project is based on Silberling's script.

Movie Trailer: First links to the "Star Trek: Insurrection" preview that aired on Entertainment Tonight recently. A trailer for "Simon Birch" co-starring Jim Carrey, one for "The Mighty" starring Sharon Stone and finally a trailer for the upcoming horror movie "Urban Legend" that also has a web site right here.

First Murder In Space: Producer Neal Moritz ("Volcano'') is teaming with scribe Randall McCormick ("Speed 2'') to mount the event picture "First Murder In Space'' at Columbia Pictures. The sci-fi thriller is about a bounty hunter who is sent into outer space to bring back a suspected killer. Trouble is, the tracker gets more than he bargained for in a vicinity overrun by a number of competing law enforcement agencies, which can't agree upon who's got jurisdiction in the case.

Labor Pains: Kyra Sedgwick ("Phenomenon") and Rob Morrow are set to star in the romantic comedy "Labor Pains." The indie film focuses on a woman who manages to keep her pregnancy secret until the last possible moment. The action takes place in the 12 hours leading up to the delivery, when her family, her ex-boyfriend (Morrow) and her ex-boyfriend's family descend upon the hospital.

Monkey Bone: Ben Stiller ("There's Something About Mary'') is now set to star in "Monkey Bone'' for Fox Animation Studios.

Rounders Babe: Pig In The City

Movie Posters: A poster for "Rounders" starring Matt Damon and Edward Norton. Also an advance poster for the upcoming family movie, "Babe: Pig in the City." The first poster is courtesy of Aaron with thanks to 'Michael' for the alert.

A Tale of Two Cities: Mel Gibson ("Lethal Weapon 4") is in talks to star in an adaptation of the Charles Dickens novel "A Tale of Two Cities.'' The movie will be produced by Paula Weinstein.

Planet Ice: The two directors of Fox's animated "Anastasia'' are expected to take the helm of the studio's next cartoon, "Planet Ice.'' The movie will be produced in Phoenix, using a good deal of the digital effects from Blue Sky. Actors Matt Damon, Bill Pullman, Drew Barrymore, Nathan Lane, Hank Azaria, Janeane Garofalo and Lena Olin are set to voice the characters.

Town And Country: Josh Hartnett ("Halloween: H20") has signed to play Warren Beatty and Diane Keaton's son in "Town And Country.'' Beatty plays a man, who, disillusioned with his marriage, endures a number of affairs before realizing that he truly loves his wife (Keaton). Goldie Hawn, Garry Shandling, Jenna Elfman and Andie MacDowell also star.

Superstar: Harland Williams ("There's Something About Mary") is set to star opposite Molly Shannon in producer Lorne Michaels' comedy "Superstar." Bruce McCulloch is directing the project. "Superstar" focuses on Mary Katherine Gallagher, a bumbling Catholic schoolgirl who fumbles around in her efforts to become a star. Williams plays Shannon's secret love interest.
