Daredevil: Coming Attractions reports that Steve Norrington ("Blade") might land the directing duties on the 'Daredevil' project. Norrington's been in discussions with Marvel Films about the job, and talks have been positive so far. Hannibal: After seriously considering reprising her role as FBI agent Clarice Starling in the 'Lambs' sequel, Jodie Foster has passed on the project, preferring to direct Claire Danes in Flora Plum. Although the two projects, both slated for a spring start, presented a conflict for Foster, Danes decision to take a year off from her studies at Yale to topline Flora helped influence the actress-helmer to commit to the project. Mirror recently reported the following: "Ben Affleck
is set to star as the new Batman, but only on one
condition - that Gwyneth Paltrow plays Catwoman. A WB
insider said: "Ben has told studio executives he'd
love to be the fourth Batman but he really wants Gwyneth
to play Catwoman alongside him. "He thinks they
would have brilliant on-screen chemistry together, and
has promised he will work on her to get her on board.
"He said that Gwyneth loved Michelle Pfeiffer when
she played Catwoman in Batman Returns, and she loved the
idea of their own chemistry burning up the screen
together."

Spin Cycle: Music video helmer Scott Marshall will make his directorial debut with the low-budget indie film "Spin Cycle," a dark comedy starring Howie Mandel, Maxine Bahns and Esai Morales. Written by Paul Grace and Adam Lybbert, "Spin Cycle" centers on six people held hostage in a laundromat when a money exchange by low-level gangsters goes sour. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film also features Lochlyn Munroe, Constance Zimmer, Sarah Chalke, Channon Roe, Jeff Fahey, Richmond Arquette, Jeffrey Beltzner and Marc Rose. Dungeons & Dragons - Script Review (Negative) The Mask 2: New Line is working on a follow-up to the 1994 hit comedy, but Jim Carrey apparently doesnt want to appear in the sequel. One of the problems is salary, and Carrey is also reported to be interested in meatier, more complex roles. The actor's spokeswoman simply said, It is no. He will not appear. New Line states that the sequel is "in development" and will proceed with or without Carrey. There's also word that Victoria Posh Spice Adams Beckman is being considered for a role in the film.
