The Big Mocambo: Disney and Warner Bros. will make their first co-financing venture together on "The Big Mocambo," a live-action comedy that Barry Sonnenfeld ("Men in Black") is targeted to direct. Sources said the picture will be about a protagonist whose life is unraveled by fictional live-action and animated characters made famous in the movies.

Deep Blue Sea: Below is a short report for this upcoming action film directed by Renny Harlin, which helps to clarify a few of the character's names. A very special thanks to 'Anonymous.'

Samuel Jackson plays RUSSELL FRANKLIN. Franklin has invested 200 million dollars into the shark research being conducted at Aquatica. Stellan portrays DR. JAMES WHITLOCK. We spoke to Renny today and the film will be released in June. We saw the sharks on the set and they are awesome. Some are remote controlled and a man can swim on them and it looks totally real. The cast was all in a great mood, happy to be part of the film.

Liberace: Cary Woods' Independent Pictures has bought "Liberace," a script about the flamboyant pianist by writers Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer. Described as in the vein of "The People vs. Larry Flynt," the biopic focuses on the rise of the musician's career until his death in 1987. Wladziu Valentino Liberace made headlines in 1959 when he won a suit against London's Daily Mirror when it implied that he was homosexual.

Move: Neve Campbell will star as a ballet dancer in "Move" as Warner Bros. moves quickly to develop the picture for her next screen vehicle. "Move'' focuses on a young girl who comes to New York to become a classical ballet dancer. She finds herself torn between two mentors: the older head of a ballet company and a young impresario who has formed a hip, modern dance company. The script is being written by Eric Guggenheim, although Campbell has contributed many of her experiences to the process.

Joe Gould's Secret: Ian Holm and Stanley Tucci ("Big Night") will reunite in "Joe Gould's Secret.'' Holm will play the title character in the October Films project, which Tucci will direct and also star in. Shooting is scheduled to begin in New York in March. Written by Howard Rodman and Tucci, "Joe Gould's Secret'' is based on the book of the same name by Joseph Mitchell, a longtime New Yorker writer. Mitchell, who will be played by Tucci, befriended Gould, a Greenwich Village bohemian who claimed to be writing an oral history of New York during the 1940s and 1950s.
