Scream 3: In a recent Halloween: H20 Interview, when asked about the status of Scream 3, Kevin Williamson said: "I just agreed this week to start writing it. We just struck my deal, so I guess the other deals are starting to follow. I'll be done in April, I'm guessing. We're planning on a December [1999] release." When asked about Neve Campbell's return, he replied: "Well, I guess she needs to wait to see if she has a character. If she doesn't want to be in it, then we'll write it without her. The good thing about SCREAM 3 is I've got three plans. There's the Sid version, the Sid-less version, and....the bottom line is the story itself doesn't rely so much on her character." What's the third version, they asked: "(Smiling) I can't say. It's not so much about Sidney anymore. It's about the world that was created with "Stab." The story itself thematically works, regardless of who is in it." Steinbeck's Point of View: Tom Cruise is in talks to make Warner Bros.' "Steinbeck's Point of View" for producers Mark Johnson and Steven Reuther. If Cruise negotiates a deal, it would be his first film since wrapping Stanley Kubrick's "Eyes Wide Shut," which Cruise and his actress wife Nicole Kidman spent more than a year filming. 54: The second trailer for this upcoming drama with an all-star-cast was recently released on the Miramax Site below:
The 13th Warrior: Below is a short, but more exact than before synopsis of the film's plot. There might be SPOILERS for some of you, so skip the next paragraph if you don't want to know the plot. The source, "Conundrum 36" didn't mention the January 1999 release date.. The film The 13th Warrior stars Antonio Banderas as Ahmad Ibn Fadlan, an Arab emissary who went on a peace mission for Arabia in the year 922 a.d. and ended up traveling against his will with a group of Vikings to go North and fight Cannibalistic things that ate Viking flesh. Sound weird? Maybe so, but this film is based on Michael Crichtons novel "Eaters of the Dead", which is supposedly a true story. This film is now a reported $114 million budget and should prove to be very good. It is said that the battle scenes in the film are the best since Braveheart. Look for this film on November 25th. Ving Rhames is set to co-star with Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones in "Entrapment" for 20th Century Fox, and then with Nicolas Cage in director Martin Scorsese's "Bringing Out the Dead." "Entrapment" is a heist thriller/love story, and "Bringing Out the Dead" is a film about two veteran paramedics (Cage and Rhames) working Gotham's Hell's Kitchen. Cage's character has become burned out and haunted by visions. Editors Note: Very sorry about the delayed update, I saw "Armageddon" yesterday, and there wasn't really any time for an update when I got home. The results of this week's poll are just in! 47% thought Small Soldiers was very good, 34% though it was okay, and 18% didn't like it. A new poll is up now!

Lost In Space 2: Right after the first film, there has been talks about a sequel. Now, one might be planned. Apparently Matt LeBlanc has been talking about returning for another. Still no news on a plot, cast or a targeted release date. Thanks to Craig.
Virus: The Official Site for this upcoming sci-fi/action film starring Jamie Lee Curtis, William Baldwin and Donald Sutherland is now up. It's still just a single page, but like the Snake Eyes page, I suppose the full site will open soon. Backcountry: Arnold Schwarzenegger is currently developing a drama called "Backcountry." A film which pits the action star against a survivalist who's hiding out in a national park and murdering visitors. Matt Johnson wrote the script. Singer Mariah Carey will also star in this project. Gossip: Norman Reedus ("Mimic") is in talks to star with James Marsden in "Gossip." "Gossip" is about a group of college undergrads who are given an assignment to plant a piece of gossip. The result spins so farout of control that a young man is falsely accused of a rape and the victim kills herself. No word yet on a release date. Thanks to Craig for the news! Dizzyland: Ralph Macchio ("Karate Kid") has started shooting the indie film "Dizzyland." Macchio co-stars with Danielle Harris in a story that takes a perverse look at the life of a child star long gone from the glow of the footlights. Dennis Hackin is directing from his own script. Lethal Weapon IV: The public's response to this film has been great. Most people like the humor, the action and especially Jet Li's performance. Below is a short review from Craig: Going to see Lethal
Weapon 4, I didn't really know what to expect. I heard a
lot about a Hong Kong action star named "Jet
Li" and how he was only second to "Jackie
Chan" in Asia. I quess the biggest reason I went and
saw this movie was to see who Jet Li was. Psycho: Robert Forster ("Jackie Brown") and Rita Wilson ("Jingle All the Way") have signed to play small roles in the re-make of "Psycho." The film also stars Vince Vaughn, Anne Heche, Julianne Moore, Viggo Mortensen and William Macy. Editors Note: I got a suggestion today about the poster sites. If anyone thinks I should add a small 'new' graphic behind the latest posters, please E-Mail me.
