Movie Posters: Three posters today! First one for the upcoming horror film "Disturbing Behavior", the second one is for the Drew Barrymore/Anjelica Huston starrer "Ever After" and the third is for the new Cameron Diaz flick "There's Something About Mary." Note From Webmaster: Sorry about the last few days without updates, I haven't been home for a few days. Also, one of the biggest movie trailer pages on the net (Akers Mic) has closed down recently. This practically means about 90% of all the trailer links will not work. I will try to replace all the links as soon as possible. Also, more news will be added tomorrow!
The Avengers: WB recently released a much bigger version of the Official poster. Thanks to The Official Site for the poster. Batman 5 & Alien 5: Coming Attraction has cleared up some rumours that have gone a little haywire. Seems like neither Kurt Russell or Leonardo DiCaprio have signed anything as of yet, and they might not sign anything at all. The rumor that Sigourney Weaver signed for $20 million also seems to be false, but that doesn't mean she won't sign for Alien 5 eventually. For a more detailed report on these projects, check out the CA page. Hogan's Heroes: Paramount Pictures is looking to take on '60s favorite "Hogan's Heroes." The studio optioned rights to the hit CBS sitcom from Rysher Entertainment for producers Keith Samples, Jim Burke and Barry London. The producers are seeking a writer to adapt it into an action-comedy feature. Movie Trailers: Three new trailers today. A trailer for the upcoming Claire Danes/Gabriel Byrne film "Polish Wedding", a longer version of the "Small Soldiers" teaser and the full "BASEketball" trailer.
The General's Daughter: Timothy Hutton and Leslie Stefanson are marching toward roles in Paramount's John Travolta starrer "The General's Daughter." Hutton will play Col. William Kent, a close friend of the base commander's daughter who is found raped and murdered. Stefanson has enlisted for the title role, Lt. Ann Campbell, whose troubled life, presented in flashbacks, eventually reveals the circumstances of her death. Travolta is a military investigator charged with looking into the case. The House Of The Dead: DreamWorks have paid lots of cash for the feature film rights to the Sega arcade game "The House Of The Dead" as a directing vehicle for Jesse Dylan. Dylan, son of singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, is attached to direct and produce the feature version. Dylan previously had optioned the rights to the game out of his own pocket and developed a narrative storyline with writer Mark Verheiden ("Time Cop," "The Mask"). Touching The Void: Castle Rock will adapt Joe Simpson's man-against-the-elements novel "Touching the Void" as a starring vehicle for Tom Cruise. Castle Rock has pacted with Cruise and Paula Wagner's C/W Prods., Sally Field's Fogwood Films and producer Alan Greisman to make the picture. Duets: Disney will be making "Duets." The project, about five professional karaoke performers battling for a cash prize, with Bruce Paltrow still aboard to direct and Ving Rhames ("Mission: Impossible") a possible to play one of the karaoke singers.
Inferno: This upcoming Jean-Claude Van Damme flick has begun principal photography. Filming is taking place in the Mojave Desert area over an eight-week period. Van Damme plays a drifter with a dark past who tries to save the quirky inhabitants of a small town from two rival gangs. Directed by John Avildsen ("Rocky"), the pic co-stars Danny Trejo ("Con Air") as Van Damme's best friend. Angela's Ashes: Liam Neeson and Emily Watson are in serious talks to star in "Angela's Ashes," the Paramount/Polygram adaptation of Frank McCourt's Pulitzer Prize winning memoirs, sources said. Director Alan Parker is targeting a September start for the film, which was adapted for the screen by Laura Jones and is being produced by Scott Rudin and David Brown. Movie Trailer: A new trailer for the Drew Barrymore film "Ever After: A Cinderella Story". The film co-stars Anjelica Huston.
RKO 281: Variety reports that HBO Pictures has become the odds-on favorite to produce director Ridley Scott's "RKO 281," a proposed docudrama about the controversy that damaged the box office for "Citizen Kane" An HBO spokeswoman declined comment, but one source said the deal between HBO Pictures and Scott's Scott Free Prods., which owns the property, could be signed within the next 10 days. Scott had envisioned "RKO 281" as a theatrical movie, but its $40 million budget turned off the major studios. In Black And White: Harold Perrineau Jr. ("The Edge") has signed to star in writer-director Desmond Hall's feature debut, "In Black and White." Anthony DeSando ("Kiss Me, Guido"), Francie Swift ("The Scarlet Letter") and Lonette McKee ("He Got Game") also star in the dramatic comedy, which began shooting May 20 in New York. Note From Webmaster: Not much news today, I'm affraid, but you can check out the X-Files movie reviews people have sent in. Not many reviews yet, but I will accept reviews a few more days.
