DreamWorks Project - Jawad dropped a nice scoop in my mailbox today, it goes like this: "Robert Redford is in negotiations to direct, star in and produce "The Legend of Bagger Vance" for DreamWorks SKG. Based on Steven Pressfield's first novel, the project is about a golf game in 1931 between champions Bobby Jones and Walter Hagen and a third competitor - an old war hero whose game is guided by his loyal caddie. Jake Eberts, who will produce the film with Redford, had been grooming the project as a directing vehicle for the actor-director."
Editors Note - Not much news today I'm affraid, but hopefully there will be a bigger update tomorrow! So keep sending in those nice scoops and come back then!

High Fidelity - Stephen Frears is near a deal to direct John Cusack in Touchstone Pictures' "High Fidelity." The Nick Hornby novel has been adapted by Cusack and his "Grosse Pointe Blank" writing partners Steve Pink and D.V. deVincentis. "High Fidelity," a huge bestseller in the U.K., is about a record store owner who has lost his girlfriend and wants to win her back.
Short Counter Note - You might have noticed that the counter I use
in my Movie Section has sort of "started over." I guess
it must have crashed or something, because it should be reading
somewhere over 20.000 hits instead of the hits it shows now.

Scream 3 - Neve Campbell plays it cagey when asked if she'll do a third "Scream'' movie. "They've already offered me 10 times more money than I've ever made before but I can't answer them yet,'' the actress told The Boston Globe. "That's frustrating them but I'm committed to 'Party of Five' for two more seasons and I'll only have time to make so many movies.'' Campbell also says she doesn't want to be typecast.
