Mission: Impossible 2: MissionImpossible.com has released the teaser trailer today. Download it below in three different sizes. Thanks to 'O.J. Temple.'
Angel Eyes: Jennifer Lopez is back in talks for the starring role in Warner Bros. drama "Angel Eyes," after exiting the project last month. THR reports that the film tells the story of a female cop who bonds with a man coping with the death of his wife and son. Pearl Harbor: Disney recently said yes to the most expensive live-action film ever greenlit, Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay's $145 million "Pearl Harbor" (aka "Tennessee"). Randall Wallace ("Braveheart") wrote the script. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project's expense stems from Bay's wish to re-create fully the early-morning bombing of the Hawaiian naval base that pulled the United States into World War II.
Bunny: Jennifer Love Hewitt is set to produce and star in MGM's "Bunny," a spy comedy based on a Harvey comic from the 1960s. According to Variety, Hewitt will play a young woman who fits in far-flung James Bond-esque spy missions between college classes. Stephen Sommers ("The Mummy") is in talks to direct. Sleepy Hollow/TWINE: Another set of minor-spoiler reviews for 'Sleepy Hollow' and 'The World is Not Enough.' Thanks to 'Jamie.' Sleepy
Hollow - Film Review (Mixed) The Blair Witch Project 2: Cinescape Online reports that Artisan is quietly moving forward on their sequel to 'The Blair Witch Project.' Possibly without the films creators, although they may still end up being involved in the project somehow. Artisan has hired writer-director Jon Bokenkamp ("Preston Tylk") to write the sequel's script. Bokenkamp is expected to finish and turn in his draft early next year. Gangs of New York: Martin Scorsese is now considering Nick Nolte to take Robert De Niro's place in his soon-to-lens Gangs of New York epic. De Niro recently dropped out of the film with his longtime collaborator, reportedly because he didn't want to face a 22-week shoot in Rome away from his kids. Although the drama takes place in New York, the 19th-century setting necessitates a custom-made set, hence a Rome relocation. Thanks to Stax.
The Sixth Day: Robert Duvall is set to star with Arnold Schwarzenegger in "The Sixth Day." Duvall will play a cloning scientist who is in business with the film's not-yet-cast lead villain. According to THR, the script by Cormac and Marianne Wibberley centers on a man (Schwarzenegger) who returns home one day to discover that he has been replaced by a clone. Roger Spottiswoode is expected to start shooting the $80 million-budgeted action film this December in Vancouver. A.I.: Variety reports that Steven Spielberg has taken Stanley Kubrick's 80-page treatment, and is writing the script himself. Spielberg is still awaiting Scott Frank's draft of Minority Report. If that script is not approved, he might go with A.I. instead. I Was Made to Love Her: Directors Chris and Paul Weitz ("American Pie") are now attached to shoot their script, "I Was Made to Love Her" for Paramount Pictures. Variety reprots that Chris Rock will play a comedian who is flattened by a bus. When the bureaucrats in Heaven realize their error in plucking the lad prematurely, he is "returned to Earth in a most unsuitable host body," an insider said, a role that is still being cast. A comedic love interest then develops. Family Man: Téa Leoni ("Deep Impact") has signed on to star as Nicolas Cage's love interest in the romantic comedy "Family Man" for Beacon Communications and Universal Pictures. "Family" tells the story of a New York investment banker (Cage) who has forsaken love for his career. One day, he wakes up to find himself living the life he would have enjoyed had he married his college sweetheart (Leoni), complete with a home in the suburbs and a brood of kids. Brett Ratner ("Rush Hour") directs.
Gangs of New York: Robert De Niro has dropped out of Martin Scorsese's "Gangs of New York." According to THR, the actor said he does not wish to venture out of the US for the shoot. "Gangs," starring Leonardo DiCaprio, was scheduled for an April start in Rome. Instead, De Niro was finalizing a $15 million deal over the weekend to star in "The Score" for Mandalay Pictures. Slated for a March start in San Francisco, "Score" is about a thief who is ready to retire but gets pulled back for one last score when he is blackmailed by a younger thief. Loser: Variety reports that Jimmi Simpson has been added to the cast of Amy Heckerlings college-set comedy "Loser," also starring Jason Biggs and Mena Suvari. Scream 3: Okay folks, the 'Scream 3' teaser has arrived! Download it below in a variety of formats and sizes. A huge thanks to 'lgritchie' and Moviefone.com.
A.I.: Cinescape Online reports that sources close to Steven Spielberg are saying the helmer is again considering taking on and finishing up one of the late Stanley Kubrick's last projects, "A.I.," which tells a story of robots with artificial intelligence in a post-apocalyptic world where the earth is flooded. No script exists for A.I. yet, though it has been long rumored that Spielberg and Kubrick discussed the project in depth over hours of phone calls. The project would not be moving forward any time soon, with the directors prior obligations Minority Report, Memoirs of a Geisha, Lindbergh and Indy IV. Chasing Sleep: Jeff Daniels ("Pleasantville") will star as a college writing professor in Michael Walker's indie psychological horror story "Chasing Sleep," a low-budget project that marks Walker's feature directorial debut. "Sleep" began shooting Tuesday in Daniels' hometown of Chelsea, Mich. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the story centers on Daniels' character, who wakes up one night to find that his wife hasn't returned home. Over the course of several sleepless nights, he confronts detectives, psychiatrists and a smitten student as he struggles to understand her disappearance.
