What's Really Scary: Below is a scoop concerning a possible new Clive Barker film with thanks to 'bellamy band':

I heard from an anonymous source that Clive Barker (Hellraiser) is writing and directing "What's Really Scary", a collection of tales, all really really scary. One tale, the first, involves a boy who sees a dark figure standing on the dark staircase of his house. that's all I know from that story. There will be 3 more tales in this movie, all digging deep into our nightmares promising it to be the scariest movie you've ever seen. Filming will start February '99. Paramount Pictures will distribute. Kieran Culkin and Karen Allen are two stars mentioned to be attached to the film.

Movie Trailers: Incase you missed it, the trailer for the upcoming Sarah Michelle Gellar/Ryan Phillippe starrer "Cruel Intentions" recently became avilable online. Also a trailer for "Instinct" starring Anthony Hopkins and Cuba Gooding Jr.

The story of a 19-year-old rock singer who falls for a girl who takes him on a journey through the dark side of suburbia, "Metal Romeo" will be the first picture to fall under the production banner of Emmett/Furla Films, which aims to produce four films per year. The two producers formed their company while working on "Speedway Junky."

Light It Up: Judd Nelson ("The Breakfast Club") has joined Forest Whitaker, Vanessa L. Williams and R&B singer Usher in "Light It Up" for Fox 2000. The film is shooting in Chicago. Produced by Tracey and Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, the urban drama is written and directed by Craig Bolotin. The story concerns a group of disillusioned students at an inner city high school who take a security guard hostage in an attempt to improve conditions. Nelson will play a suspended teacher who is reinstated as part of the students' first demand upon taking over the school.

Man vs. Nature: Bill Paxton ("Aliens"), Timothy Olyphant ("Scream 2") and Gregory Smith ("Small Soldiers") are supposedly in talks to star in "Man vs. Nature," a sequel to 1996's blockbuster hit, "Twister." No director is tied to the project yet, but the film is slated for a summer 2001 release. Helen Hunt is likely not to return. Warner Brothers and Amblin Entertainment to distribute. Thanks to 'ritchiek' for the info!

I Know What You Did Last Summer 3: 'ritchiek' also dropped in a scoop about a possible third "IKWYDLS" movie. Sweet above the area below to read:

Mandalay Entertainment claims that if "I Still Know" does well at the BO, a sequel will be developed entitled either "I'll Always Know" or "Secrets Never Die." Jennifer Love Hewitt is reportedly interested in doing another sequel if the time should arrive. "The killer will be a different person though" says anonymous sources.

The Bachelor: Singer Mariah Carey wants to break into movies and she hopes a film cameo will help her kick off an acting career. She is considering a number of small roles, including in The Bachelor, which tells the story of a single young man who will inherit a large sum of money if he weds by a certain deadline. Chris O'Donnell and Renée Zellweger star in the film. Thanks to Craig for the info!

But I'm a Cheerleader: Natasha Lyonne ("Krippendorf's Tribe") will next turn her attention to pep rallies and pom-poms in the black comedy "But I'm a Cheerleader." Lyonne will play Megan Bloomfield, a naive 17-year-old who is sent to a "rehab camp'' when her strait-laced parents and friends suspect her of being a lesbian. Clea Duval will co-star in the indie picture, which first-timer Jamie Babbit will direct from a screenplay by Brian Wayne Peterson. Shooting is set to begin this winter.

Autumn in New York: Winona Ryder is in talks to join Richard Gere in United Artists' romantic drama "Autumn in New York." News of Ryder's possible involvement in the film comes as Marleen Gorris has withdrawn from the project. Sources said UA would like to film "Autumn in New York" at exactly that time -- fall 1999 -- and would release the film in fall 2000. Allison Burnett's screenplay concerns a New York playboy and owner of one of Manhattan's swank restaurants, a man approaching 50, who falls in love with a dying woman half his age.
