The Insider: A poster for the drama "Insider," which is the true story of tobacco executive-turned-whistleblower Jeffrey Wigand and his relationship with "60 Minutes" producer Lowell Bergman. Beyond Borders: Variety reports that Catherine Zeta-Jones ("Entrapment") and Kevin Costner ("For Love of the Game") are in final negotiations to star in "Beyond Borders," a love story to be directed by Oliver Stone. The project concerned an American doctor (Costner) and a British relief worker (Zeta-Jones), and is set against the backdrop of U.N. relief efforts around the world. The film is written by Stone and Caspian Tredwell-Owen. Halloween: H2K: Some new casting rumors with thanks to FrighT MasteR. A reliable source gave me some cast info for H2K. Here's what he gave me. Nick Castle who played Michael in the original will play Myers once again in H2K. I found out that Bridget Fonda will be in it and that girl from Teaching Mrs. Tingle Lesley Ann Nicole I think is her real name. The Lord of the Rings: Cate Blanchett ("Elizabeth") has joined the cast of New Line's "Lord of the Rings." Blanchett will play Galadriel, elf queen of Lorien. The pictures are based on J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy novel trilogy. Shooting begins Monday in New Zealand. Houghton Mifflin is publishing a new paperback edition to coincide with the start of shooting, and a limited-edition boxed set of hard-cover tomes also is due. Thanks to TheOneRing.net and Variety. Little Nicky: Harvey Keitel is in talks to play Adam Sandler's demon dad in New Line Cinema's comedy "Little Nicky." "Nicky" tells the story of a young demon (Sandler) who embarks on a journey from hell to New York City to find his runaway brother, now wreaking havoc on Earth. In a role yet to be cast, the runaway brother had left home after a fight with their father, Satan (Keitel), who refused to let him take over the family business. The film is slated to start shooting in in New York this November with Steven Brill at the helm. Sandler wrote the screenplay with his writing partner Tim Herlihy, THR reports.

Click on the link above to check it out. Thanks to 'Xoanon.' Proof of Life: Meg Ryan will receive $15 million for starring in Taylor Hackford's action-romance "Proof of Life." "Proof" is the story of a hostage negotiator who falls in love with the wife of the man he is hired to save. Russell Crowe ("L.A. Confidential") is in early talks to star with Ryan in the film, according to THR. X-Men: Variety reports that Dougray Scott might have to drop out of the Wolverine role due to schedule conflicts. The "Mission: Impossible 2"shoot has gone longer than expected, and Scott lost a few days with a shoulder injury. Paramount and Fox brass have been trying to juggle schedules to get Scott free to join the "X-Men" production. They need Scott in the Wolverine suit by October 18th and if that can't be guaranteed, Fox will recast by week's end. Dancing at the Blue Iguana: Jennifer Tilly ("Bride of Chucky"), Daryl Hannah ("My Favorite Martian") and Elias Koteas ("The Thin Red Line") have been tapped to star in writer-director Michael Radford's ("Il Postino") next film, "Dancing at the Blue Iguana." They will be joined by Sandra Oh ("Arli$$"), Sheila Kelley ("Singles"), Vladimir Mashkov ("The Thief"), Bob Wisdom ("Face/Off") and Charlotte Ayanna. The story centers around a strip joint and has comic elements along with tragic overtones. The film is slated to start shooting by the end of the year, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Quadrille: Madonna is set to star in Quadrille, an adaptation of the Noel Coward play scripted by Wesley Moore. The film revolves around revenge plans gone awry. A philandering English aristocrat elopes to the south of France with the young wife of an American industrialist. His wife (Madonna) is so incensed that she teams up with the industrialist in pursuit of their spouses, hoping to bring them back to avert scandal. Along the way, the spurned spouses develop a kinship that leads to romance. Gavin Millar ("Dreamchild") will direct. The film starts shooting early next year in London and France, Variety reports.

Then She Found Me: Tony Goldwyn ("Imaging Nathan") will direct Helen Hunt in Columbia Pictures' "Then She Found Me." Based on Elinor Lipman's book, the film centers on a talk show host who bullies her way into the life of a daughter she gave up for adoption years before. Alice Arlen wrote the original script for the film, which Hunt and Vic Levin are rewriting. The project is set for a January start, according to The Hollywood Reporter. failed salesman who is trying to get home after losing
his job. A transit strike leaves him stranded in
Vancouver's skid row where he meets a mentally-ill man
(John R. Taylor) who believes himself to be a knight. In
an effort to save the crazed old man from hurting
himself, this odd couple embark on a night-journey
through the mean streets of Vancouver. Librium: Jan De Bont ("The Haunting") and Lucas Foster's Blue Tulip Prods. has signed a deal with Dimension Films to produce "Librium," a futuristic sci-fi thriller written and directed by Kurt Wimmer ("The Thomas Crown Affair"). "Librium" tells the story of the spiritual conversion of agent John Preston, who is the legal enforcer of an oppressive system in which human emotion is forbidden and suppressed by a required daily dose of Librium. Principal photography is expected to begin in Europe early next year, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
